SHIRTS!!!!

With a graduation coming soon I have finally decided to put together shirts with Shannon S Photography on them. I am super excited and can not wait to be able to wear them this weekend. I will have soon a photo of me and my assistant with our new gear.

Antioch WCC Graduation

Hi everyone! I have been asked to just take the photos for the Western Career College- Antioch Campus at the actual ceremony. Students like before will be able to view and purchase their photos online. The most important part of that is that they will be able to share with their family members that were not able to attend their graduation. I will have the sites the students will be able to visit soon. The students will also be able to know at the graduation when they will be able to view their photos online. :)

This will actually be the last time that Western Career College will have a graduation under that name, they will be changing their name to Carrington College California as of July 1, 2010. I will be using the WCC as their school name, this will hopefully help for students to remember their name being that they had know WCC as WCC.

I am totally excited to have to chance to take photos of the graduates from Western Career College-Stockton Campus. Soon I will be putting together the site name for the graduates to be able to view and order their photography of the day. More to follow.......

Sacramento Engagements!!

I had the opportunity to take engagement photos in Sacramento. There are some really great locations in Sacramento. They are such a great couple I can not wait to photograph their wedding coming in July. Here are some of the photos of that day.

I want to encourage everyone to take the time to volunteer! I was able to help clean up in the elephant exhibit at the Oakland Zoo and after enjoyed the rest of the day at their zoo. It is now something I plan on doing at least twice a year helping at the zoo and adding other ways to volunteer as well. SOOOOOOO....................................

Spring = New Beginnings

It must be the season, I have many friends that have just had their baby or are expecting. Here is Maria, she is expecting her little boy Angel in about a month.

Newborn

I was lucky to have great friends that allowed me to interrupt their

first week with their first child Elijah. He is barely a week old. I wanted to keep things simple no flash just a more relaxed clean feel. I plan on working with them in taking photos through out his next year so ideas are rolling.

Stock photos

Though school has been taken a lot of time I plan on expanding. I had planned on being apart of iStock, but really haven't really followed through. So this year I plan on being apart of many stock sites and really see what comes of it. Again always excited!

New year!!!

Hey everyone, I can not even believe that it is already going to be March. What have I been doing these 2 months? I am not sure.....No I have just been busy with school. I hate to say but the photography has been outweighed on importance by school and personal life. But that will change again as we come up to spring.

This weekend I will be taking photos of a friends and their newborn baby. I am truly excited about it, and I'll post them as soon! I also have engagement photos coming up at the end of the month at the State Capital. It will be nice to get back to doing what I truly love.

I always think every year you should have a game plan or a goal you set for yourself to reach. You should always have goals in general but set one that you know you can actually do to visually see at the end of the year that accomplishment. So I had to think of what I wanted to see accomplished this year for my photography busniess. This year I plan of pay to be apart of more wedding social network, I love photographing weddings.

Now that the holidays are behind us it is not time to kick in gear and start greasing the wheels and get this thing rolling.
