Jami, Jami, Jami

I have shot Jami loads of times, and I have always thought she should model. Actually, I am not the only one who believes that. She helped me become one of Crossroads Honorable Mention last year. Now that company uses that photo in some of their ads in newspapers. What makes it soooo easy to shoot her is well, I think it is because it comes easy for her.

She has decided to start working on a portfolio, and yesterday she came over and we just pulled out many shots of her. I actually had about 10 and up to share but I thought I would just do 6. :) We didn't get too crazy just tried to keep it basic some extremely natural looking. I love it when you shoot over 300 shots and do not even realize it. I can't wait to shoot her again, which we definitely plan to real soon. Ideas start to pop in my head. :)

Family Portraits

I always love taking photos of families that just like to have a good time. Here are a couple shots from that day. I just love the photo of everyone laying on the grass making faces.

Farmers Market

Artist Reception

Decided to attend the Artist Awards and Reception at Delicato.  It was nice to just go and be apart of it, meet other photographers.

Cayden's first camping trip!

For the 4th of July weekend we were able to take my dog on his first camping trip.  By Saturday evening I felt that I broke my dog.  He has never been on a more serious terrain.  I wish I could have stayed longer, we camped at Manzanita Lake located in Lassen National Park, hiked at Wiskeytown Lake, and at the beginning of the trip visited McArthur-Burney Falls.  On the way back home we stopped at the Sundial Bridge located in Redding, Ca.

Delicato Winery Photo Contest

Called yesterday to check if my 2 photos I entered were accepted into the Photo Contest. Usually they are and I would be left with 1 or 2 that might not be accpeted, but never have I won anything in the contest. But 1 of my 2 photos entered were accpeted and....(drum roll please) I received 2nd for 1 of the photos. What is sort of funny is that I feel like I am recieving more recognition for my portrait work than what I love doing on the side which is the more artistic prints.

Thank you Gloria for allowing me to photograph you and your husband it is one of my favorites.

Brochure

Woohoo! Check that off my list well at least for the wedding brochure. I wanted to make sure I had that one by the Art Fair this weekend and I did it. Now it is time to continue down the list of things to do. Now it is time to make a portrait one. :)

Here is  little collage I put together of my friend and her husband expecting their first child.  I am sooo excited for them, and not but a day and a half after taking the photos she gave birth to her baby boy!  That is sooo great!
