This has been the week of focus, making sure that all things that need to be done before I start school again towards recieving my BA in Small Bunsiness Management and Entrupenuaship have been mostly taken care of.
I will be submitting photos into the San Joaquin County Fair held during the month of June and the Delicato Photography Show held during the month of July. I am excited like always to just get stuff out there to be seen by others.
May is definitly going to be a busy month, along with being in charge of the Photography for Western Career College 2009 Graduation I will be doing my photo shoot to also enter into the Crossroad Trading Co. annual photo contest. Last year one of my 3 photos was selected for Honorable Mention out of hundreds of photos submitted by others. I dont have high expectations other than to just keep pushing myself to try new things since fashion photography isn't really my forte. And most importantly have fun!!!!!!!!!!!
I have also emailed some local wineries to see about displaying or selling my artistic photos. Today I recieved a response from Heritage Oak Winery and just faxed off a vender enrollment form for their 2009 Art Fair: 10112 E Woodbridge Road Acampo, Ca 95220. It will be held on June 20 (Father's Day Weekend) between the hours of 11-5.
Like I always say it never hurts to ask, and if you dont you will never know what could happen.

Wedding Collage
This is just a copy of my new wedding collage to show clients. I am lucky to know Signature Videography, where they now have a copy of this print in a frame to show their clients that might need an affordable photographer. Any exposure is a major plus.
I am thinking about printing another where I can show people when I have a table up selling my artistic photos. Just a thought that I am toying around with. Might just stick with having brochures so people can take home. We'll see...

Western Career College Graduation
Now having my website being listed when you do a Google search, I am slowly getting nibbles from prospective clients. Which is truly exciting, I hope I hear from other soon.
I have decided to finally accept to take the photos at Western Career College-Stockton Campus graduation photos during the ceremony. This will be the biggest event I have ever done. It will hold new challenges that I may not have seen and not big production wedding could have prepared me. But everyone at Western (which is my 9-5 job) believes that I can do a great job. That means a being that they have in the past hired outside company's who specialize in graduations. I am hoping my advantage is that I have been in charge of 2 of their graduations and knowing a little can help me.
So I am going to sign up on Shutterfly to allow students to purchase if need be only wallets instead of an entire package with print sizes they might never use. Shutterfly will take care of the transactions and shipping which is great! I would only have to up load and let the students and their families along with the help of Shutterfly take care of the rest.
I hope to gain Western-Stockton Campus as a permanent client year after year, I plan to try do things a little different then most graduation companies. And depending on how it goes I can ask (never hurts to ask) if another campus may want to use me. This will open doors to others viewing my website and (cross our fingers) hire me for future gigs.
Wish me luck!
